To improve further consider adding more coverlines to the front cover. On the contents page try to use a different set of images. Fill the empty space on the page. Consider using a caption or pull-quote on the image page of your double page spread. Try using more variety in your fonts. You could consider putting the question part of the text of your article in a different colour, or using a coloured background.
